Šeško Strikes as Manchester United Secure Narrow 1–0 Win Over Everton

229d agoIn a closely contested encounter at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Manchester United edged out Everton with a 1–0 victory thanks to a decisive goal from substitute Benjamin Šeško in the 71st minute.
The game remained tight for much of the 90 minutes, with both sides showing defensive discipline, but it was United who found the crucial breakthrough in the second half after a well-worked move saw Šeško finish neatly inside the box.
The first half had been cagey, with neither team able to carve out clear scoring opportunities as Everton looked to disrupt United’s rhythm and manage possession. United, for their part, grew into the game as the match wore on, utilising quick transitions and counterattacks to trouble the Everton backline.
Šeško’s goal ultimately proved enough to secure the three points for the visitors.

Despite late pressure and chances, Everton were left frustrated as the final whistle confirmed their narrow defeat.
For Manchester United, the win was significant in their push for a top-four finish, helping maintain momentum under manager Michael Carrick and keeping them ahead of rivals in the league standings.
Everton now face another tough week as they aim to climb the table and find consistency in front of goal.
