POST-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE
HJUNT FC 3–1 ODU’A FC
Tipngoal: Coach Samdada, Hjunt FC started the season with two consecutive defeats but bounced back with an impressive 3–1 victory over Odu’a FC. What changed in your team?
Coach Samdada: We only told the boys to be hungrier, and that was the major difference between the two previous games and today’s match.
Tipngoal: After two consecutive defeats, how important was this victory for restoring confidence and morale in the dressing room?
Coach Samdada: It was a must-win game to boost our confidence.
Tipngoal: Abdulmuiz scored twice in the 21st and 31st minutes. How impressed were you with his performance, and could he become one of your key players this season?
Coach Samdada: We knew his quality, and that was why we went all out to secure his services. We hope this form continues.
Odu’a FC pulled one goal back through Bidex’s 43rd-minute penalty. Were you worried that conceding just before half-time could change the momentum?
Coach Samdada: Yes. In a game of football, being one goal ahead is not always a guarantee until the 90th minute.
Daniel’s 74th-minute goal secured a more comfortable advantage. What did you tell your players at half-time to help them finish strongly?
Coach Samdada: The players were told to keep pressing.
Tipngoal: Hjunt FC lost its first two matches but has now secured its first victory. Is this the beginning of a turnaround in your season?
Coach Samdada: Our season begins today.
Tipngoal: What tactical adjustments did you make after the defeats against Diamond Star Sporting FC and Bonez FC?
Coach Samdada: Some personnel were changed. We worked on how we could control the game from the middle of the park, and it paid off.
Tipngoal: With your first three points secured, what is your realistic target for the remaining matches? Are you aiming to challenge for the top positions?
Coach Samdada: [Response not provided.]
Tipngoal: Finally, what message do you have for Hjunt FC supporters who stood by the team after two defeats, and what should they expect in your next fixture?
