KUBWA FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2025/2026 PRE-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE Gozie FA vs DLK World Best FC Coach Bash Damisa — Head Coach, DLK World Best FC Coach Bash’s Responses 1. Coach, DLK World Best FC started the season with a draw in your first league match at home. How satisfied were you with that result and the performance? Well, that’s football. You either win, draw, or lose. It was a game we ought to have won, but it is what it is. My players gave their best and created enough chances to win the game. I’m impressed with their performance. We have identified our lapses, and we have been working hard to improve on them. 2. You’re now preparing for your first away game of the season. Does that change your approach compared with your opening home fixture? Nothing changes. Our approach remains the same. We will go into the game with the same mentality and focus. 3. Gozie FA are one of the oldest teams in the league. What do you expect from a side with that experience? I have great respect for Coach Sam and Gozie FA as a team. They are an experienced side, but we are not scared. I’m expecting a very interesting and competitive game. 4. Gozie lost their opening game 3–1 to defending champions Arewa FC. Do you expect them to come into this match with extra motivation, especially in their first home fixture? Playing away from home is always difficult because you are surrounded by the home fans, but that doesn’t change anything for us. We are going there with one objective — to fight for the win. 5. DLK are newly promoted to the league. How important is it for your players to remain composed and stick to the game plan against an experienced opponent? The boys are calm and focused, and they have been training very hard. Composure is very important in a game like this, and the players are ready. 6. What have you worked on since the opening draw to prepare the team for this away fixture? We have been working on the lapses from our first game, especially our finishing and defensive concentration. These are areas we know we need to improve. 7. How is the squad looking ahead of the match? Do you have any injury concerns or players who may be unavailable? Yes, a few of my players have travelled, while some are injured or sick. But we are hoping and praying that they recover and return to the team as soon as possible. 8. Should the fans expect any changes to your starting lineup or tactical approach from the team that played in the opening match? Yes, there will be a few changes. We will make adjustments where necessary, depending on the demands of the game. 9. What would you like to see from your players in this first away game of the season? A win. That is what I want to see — fighting spirit, commitment, and ultimately a win. 10. Finally, Coach Bash, what message do you have for the DLK World Best FC supporters travelling to support the team? They should keep believing in us and continue supporting the team. I just want to ask them to be patient with the boys. We are building something, and we will make them proud. Thank you. Coach Bash Damisa Head Coach, DLK World Best FC Kubwa, Abuja
