🚨 BREAKING NEWS: MOHAMED SALAH TO DEPART LIVERPOOL AT END OF SEASON
March 24, 2026
200d agoIn a seismic development that has sent shockwaves through Anfield and the footballing world, Liverpool FC can confirm that star forward Mohamed Salah will leave the club at the conclusion of the current season.
Multiple sources close to the player and the club have confirmed that after months of protracted contract negotiations, no agreement has been reached, paving the way for the Egyptian King to end his illustrious Premier League tenure as a free agent.
The 32-year-old’s current deal expires this summer, and despite the club’s ongoing efforts to retain their all-time leading Premier League goalscorer, the two parties have failed to bridge the gap regarding contract length and financial terms.
In an exclusive statement to Breaking News earlier this morning, a source within the forward’s camp stated: “It’s done. Mo has played his final season at Anfield. He gave the club every opportunity to make it work, but the decision has been made. He will be moving on to his next chapter.”
Salah, who has been the talismanic figure of the Jürgen Klopp—and now Arne Slot—era, leaves behind a legacy of unprecedented records. Since arriving from AS Roma in 2017, he has scored over 200 goals for the Reds, securing every major trophy available, including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
With the summer transfer window approaching, speculation over Salah’s next destination will now reach fever pitch. Saudi Arabian clubs, led by Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, have long been linked with a move for the superstar, while European giants such as Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be monitoring his situation closely.
Liverpool’s hierarchy is now facing the monumental task of replacing one of the greatest players in the club’s history, with the team’s attacking dynamic set for a radical overhaul ahead of next season.
An official announcement from the club is expected in the coming days.
