Odu’a FC suffered a heavy 5–1 defeat to Runners FC in your opening match. How have you assessed that performance, and what have you worked on to correct the mistakes? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “We’ve assessed the opening-day performance and worked thoroughly on our defensive lapses. Hopefully, we can implement the corrections in our next home game.” 2. After that defeat, how important is it for the team to start picking up points immediately? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “We’re working hard and staying focused on the next game. Picking up maximum points will help us get the team back on track.” 3. This will be Odu’a FC’s first home match of the season. How important is it to make a strong start in front of your supporters? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “Yes, it’s very important. After the disappointing result away at Runners FC, hopefully we can give our fans something to smile about by getting the maximum points.” 4. Chona & Friends FC have already played a league match. What have you seen from them? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “They are a very disciplined and technical side. They came from behind to get a point against Sporting FA, so we expect a competitive and dominant game until the final whistle.” 5. After conceding five goals, have you placed particular emphasis on improving defensively? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “Yes, definitely. We’ve worked thoroughly on our defensive lapses and made a lot of corrections.” 6. Are there any injury concerns, suspensions, or unavailable players? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “We have one or two minor knocks, but I believe they’ll be fit before the match. We also have no suspensions.” 7. As a team competing in the Kubwa Football League, what have you learned from your first match? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “This isn’t our first outing in the league. We only lost our opening match, but we’ve learned a lot from it. Hopefully, we can bounce back from the poor result at Runners FC by winning at home this weekend.” 8. Has the heavy defeat affected the confidence of the players? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “No, it hasn’t affected us. If anything, it has given us more motivation to approach the next match positively. It’s a challenge, and we’re fully focused on making a positive response.” 9. Can we expect changes to the starting lineup or tactical approach? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “Yes. The league allows teams to register up to 25 players, and we can’t play everyone at once, so there may be some changes to the lineup.” 10. Finally, what is your message to the Odu’a FC supporters ahead of your first home match? 🎙️ Coach Lattef: “They should expect a positive response. We disappointed them away at Runners FC, and now we want to repay them with an entertaining performance and, most importantly, a win.”
