GOZIE FA — PRESS CONFERENCE ANSWERS 1. Gozie FA are beginning another campaign. What are your expectations for this season? Answer: Our expectations are very high. We have prepared ourselves for a competitive season, and our objective is to compete in every match with confidence, discipline and determination. We want to improve on what we have done in previous competitions, take every game seriously and, at the end of the season, put ourselves in a strong position to compete for honours. 2. What has the team done during the preparation period to get ready for the league? Answer: We have been working on several aspects of the team. We have focused on fitness, tactical organisation, ball possession, attacking and defensive transitions, set pieces and, importantly, team chemistry. We have also used our preparation matches to give players opportunities and identify areas that still need improvement. 3. What are the main areas you have strengthened in the squad? Answer: We have concentrated on strengthening the team as a whole rather than depending on one particular area. We have looked at our defensive organisation, midfield balance and attacking options. We also want to have enough depth in the squad because the league is a long competition, and we need players who can step up whenever they are called upon. 4. How do you approach playing against the defending champions, Arewa FC? Answer: We respect Arewa FC because they are the defending champions, but we don't approach the game with fear. Every match is a new game. We will study their strengths, identify where we can hurt them and make sure our players remain disciplined and focused throughout the match. We respect our opponents, but we also believe in ourselves. 5. Do you see yourselves as genuine contenders for the league title this season? Answer: We are ambitious, and of course we want to compete for the title. But we also understand that talking about winning the league is easier than actually doing it. We have to demonstrate our ambition on the pitch, one match at a time. Our focus is on consistency, discipline and collecting as many points as possible. 6. What is your biggest strength as a team going into the new campaign? Answer: I would say our biggest strength is our togetherness. We have players who are willing to work for one another, and we are building a strong team spirit. We also have a mixture of experience and young players who are hungry to prove themselves. If we remain united and disciplined, that can become a very important advantage for us. 7. What lessons did Gozie FA learn from previous competitions that you will apply this season? Answer: One major lesson is that football demands concentration from the first minute until the final whistle. We have learned that you cannot afford to underestimate any opponent, and you cannot switch off because one moment can change a game. We have also learned the importance of consistency, discipline and mental strength. 8. How important is a strong start to your season? Answer: A strong start is very important because it gives the team confidence and creates a positive mentality. But at the same time, the league is not won in the first few matches. What matters is maintaining that level throughout the campaign. So we want to start strongly, but we also want to finish strongly. 9. What are your expectations from your players in terms of discipline and professionalism? Answer: My expectations are very clear: discipline, respect, commitment and professionalism. When you wear the Gozie FA jersey, you represent more than yourself. You represent your teammates, the academy, the coaches and our supporters. I expect every player to respect teammates, opponents, officials and the rules of the competition. 10. What message do you have for your supporters before the first whistle of the new season? Answer: To our supporters, I want to say thank you for always believing in Gozie FA. We need your support, whether we win, draw or face difficult moments. Continue to stand behind the team. We promise to give everything on the pitch, fight for every ball and represent Gozie FA with pride. Together We Stand Strong. 🔥mQUESTIONS FOR BOTH TEAMS — GOZIE FA ANSWERS 11. What makes the Kubwa Football League special to your club? Answer: The Kubwa Football League is important because it gives local clubs and players an opportunity to compete, develop and showcase their talent. For Gozie FA, it is also an opportunity to develop our players and contribute to the growth of football in our community. 12. Which part of your game must improve if you want to challenge for the title? Answer: There is always room for improvement. We want to become more consistent in our performances, especially in our transition from attack to defence and defence to attack. We also want to improve our decision-making in the final third and become more clinical when opportunities come. Goodluck
