KUBWA FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2026/2027 MATCHDAY 2 PRESS CONFERENCE Chona & Friends FC 🆚 Sporting FA Coach Phil — Chona & Friends FC 1. Coach Phil, this is Chona & Friends FC’s first season in the league. How ready are you for the challenge? Yes this is our first season in the league, and we are excited to be here, we know there will be a lot to learn, but we have prepared ourselves. We also believe in our own abilities. Our objective is to compete and improve in every game and also establishing Chona & Friends FC as a competitive team in this league. 2. You are starting your first league game at home. How important is that for your team? As first timers it is very important to us playing our first game at home, it gives us the opportunity to have our supporters behind us to give us the much needed support, we want to give our fans something to be proud of. 3. What is your target for your first season in the league? Our target is to be competitive throughout the season. We want to take every match seriously, collect as many points as possible and finish the season in a strong position. But beyond the results, we are focused on giving our young players a platform to improve their game. 4. How has your team prepared for this match? Preparation has been very good with everyone putting in their best in training, most importantly, the players understand their responsibilities, and we are going into the match with confidence and respect for our opponents. 5. Do you have any injured or unavailable players? Yes some of our first team players playing in the FCT DIVISION 2 LEAGUE which is the club's goal of the year will not be available for the first phase of the season. Whoever is selected will have our full confidence and every player must be ready to contribute when called upon. 6. Which players should fans watch out for? I would rather ask the fans to watch out for the entire team. Football is a collective game, and our strength is going to come from everyone doing their job. We have talented players who can make a difference, but I don't want to put unnecessary pressure on individuals. The team comes first. 7. What can fans expect from Chona & Friends FC this season? They should expect a team that plays with courage, discipline and determination. We want to play attractive football, but we also understand that football is about results. There will be difficult moments because this is our first season, but the fans can expect commitment in every game. We will fight for the badge, keep improving and never give up. 🎤 FINAL QUESTION — BOTH COACHES What should fans expect when Chona & Friends FC face Sporting FA? They should expect a competitive and entertaining football match. Sporting FA are a team we respect, and we know they will come prepared. But we are also prepared and determined to give our best. For us, this is more than just another match. It is an opportunity to show what Chona & Friends FC is about. We want intensity, discipline, good football and, most importantly, a strong performance and at the end get all three points.
