South African football has entered a new chapter as the South African Football Association (SAFA) officially announces Pitso Mosimane as the new head coach of Bafana Bafana. The appointment marks a major return for Mosimane, who previously guided the national team and now gets another opportunity to lead South Africa at the highest level. Mosimane will not be working alone. He will be supported by Musi Matlaba, who joins the setup as assistant coach, while Kabelo Rangoaga takes responsibility as fitness trainer. The return comes at an important moment for Bafana Bafana. South Africa are looking to build on recent progress and maintain their status as one of the continent's competitive national teams. Mosimane brings considerable experience to the position, having enjoyed success both domestically and on the African continent. His biggest achievement came in 2016 when he guided Mamelodi Sundowns to their first-ever CAF Champions League title. Now, the focus shifts back to the national team. With important fixtures ahead, Mosimane will be expected to quickly establish his philosophy, get the best out of South Africa's current generation of players and continue pushing Bafana Bafana forward. For South African supporters, one thing is certain: Pitso Mosimane is back in the Bafana Bafana hot seat. A new era begins.
