279d agoA stunning stoppage-time equalizer from Fulham substitute Harrison Reed ensured the points were shared in a dramatic 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Craven Cottage . The match, which kicked off 15 minutes late due to a medical emergency in the stands, featured two goals ruled out by VAR before being awarded and a frantic finale that saw both teams score in added time .
Fulham took the lead in the 17th minute through former Liverpool winger Harry Wilson, who finished clinically after a clever flick from Raúl Jiménez—the goal stood after a VAR review for a tight offside call . Liverpool, missing several key forwards including the injured Hugo Ekitike, labored for much of the first half but found their equalizer in the 57th minute when Florian Wirtz finished from a Conor Bradley pass, a goal that also required a lengthy VAR check to confirm .
The game seemed destined for a draw until a wild sequence in injury time. Liverpool thought they had snatched all three points in the 94th minute when Cody Gakpo tapped in at the back post from a Jeremie Frimpong cross . However, Fulham responded almost immediately. Just three minutes later, Harrison Reed, who had only just entered the match, unleashed an unstoppable 25-yard rocket into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper Alisson with no chance and securing a deserved point for the home side .
The result leaves Liverpool in fourth place with 34 points, while Fulham move to 28 points . Liverpool manager Arne Slot was left visibly stunned at the final whistle, his team having now drawn three of their last four league matches . Both teams face quick turnarounds, with Fulham hosting Chelsea next and Liverpool traveling to face league leaders Arsenal .
