280d agoArsenal came from behind to secure a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League, extending their lead at the top of the table to six points.
The match began with a dramatic mistake as Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães gifted Bournemouth the opening goal with a misplaced pass in the 10th minute. The Brazilian defender redeemed himself just six minutes later by powering in an equalizer after a scramble in the box.
The game was decided by a second-half brace from Declan Rice. The England midfielder, who was a fitness doubt before the match, put Arsenal ahead in the 54th minute and scored a crucial second in the 71st minute after a setup from substitute Bukayo Saka. Bournemouth substitute Eli Junior Kroupi set up a tense finale with a stunning long-range strike in the 76th minute, but Arsenal held on for the three points.
The win was Arsenal's seventh in a row and moves them six points clear of second-place Aston Villa. Bournemouth's winless league run extends to 11 games.
