What was expected to be a tightly contested encounter turned into an action-packed battle, with a late goal ultimately separating the two sides in Stockholm.

Poland responded well, showing composure and determination, and drew level through Nicola Zalewski in the 33rd minute after exploiting a gap in Sweden’s defense.
However, Sweden regained their advantage just before halftime, as Gustaf Lagerbielke struck in the 44th minute to make it 2-1 heading into the break.
Poland came out stronger in the second half and continued to push forward in search of another equalizer. Their efforts paid off in the 55th minute when Karol Świderski found the back of the net, bringing the score to 2-2 and setting up a tense final stretch.
Both teams created chances as the game opened up, with Sweden looking dangerous on the counter and Poland pressing for a winner.
With the match seemingly heading toward extra time, Sweden delivered the decisive moment late on. Viktor Gyökeres stepped up in the 88th minute, reacting quickest in the box to score the winning goal and complete a dramatic victory for the hosts.
