Haaland Shines as Man City Thrash Fulham 3–0 to Keep Title Race Alive

241d agoManchester City put in a commanding performance at the Etihad Stadium to secure a 3–0 win over Fulham and keep their Premier League title challenge firmly alive. The hosts dominated from the start, and all three goals came in a highly effective first half, leaving Fulham with too much to do in the second 45.
The breakthrough came midway through the first half when Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring in the 24th minute, capitalizing on a defensive mix-up to give City the early advantage. Just six minutes later, youngster Nico O’Reilly doubled the lead with a composed finish after working a clever attacking move. The Etihad crowd were in full voice as City continued to push forward.
City’s third goal arrived on the cusp of halftime when Erling Haaland continued his impressive season by finding the net in the 39th minute. The Norwegian striker, one of the league’s most prolific scorers, finished powerfully after good build-up play involving Phil Foden, ensuring a comfortable half-time cushion for Pep Guardiola’s side.
In the second half, City managed the game with confidence, controlling possession and limiting Fulham’s chances. Fulham had only rare glimpses of attacking threat, but Manchester City’s defence held firm and Gianluigi Donnarumma kept a clean sheet. This victory cuts the gap to Premier League leaders Arsenal to just three points as the title race intensifies.
For Fulham, Bernd Leno and his backline were stretched throughout the match, and despite some late efforts to create pressure, they were unable to find a way through City’s organised defence. Fulham now face a period of reflection as they look to climb back up the table after tonight’s setback.
