Ruben Amorim has gotten his MAGIC back..
October 21, 2025
355d agoRuben Amorim’s Manchester United are beginning to look like a team reborn. In the space of just three weeks, his side have beaten both the FIFA Club World Cup champions and the reigning Premier League champions — a stunning reminder that United, under the Portuguese tactician, are once again capable of taking on the very best.
When Amorim arrived, there were doubts about whether his high-intensity, possession-based style could translate to the demands of English football. For months, United struggled to find rhythm, often looking disjointed and short of belief. But slowly, quietly, Amorim has instilled a new sense of purpose. His ideas — the compact pressing, the quick transitions, the controlled aggression — are finally taking root.
Against the world champions, United showed resilience and tactical intelligence, soaking up pressure and striking decisively when chances came. Against the Premier League champions, they were bold and relentless, pressing high and dictating play in a way that left even the most dominant side in England unsettled. Amorim’s fingerprints were everywhere — from the midfield structure to the sharp movement in attack.
Beyond tactics, what stands out most is the shift in mentality. The players are buying in, the energy around Carrington has changed, and fans can sense it too. United are no longer waiting for moments of individual brilliance to save them; they’re playing like a team again — one with an identity, a plan, and a growing belief that they can compete at the top level.
Ruben Amorim’s magic, once doubted, seems to have returned in full. Manchester United are far from finished article, but the signs are unmistakable: a project once seen as a gamble is beginning to pay off. If the last few weeks are any indication, Amorim might just be building something special at Old Trafford.
