61d agoNigeria has never been short of exciting football talents, and Abdulmuiz Adeleke is quickly becoming one of the names to watch.
Born on 12 April 2009, Adeleke is a young centre-forward who has already made an impression in Nigeria's youth national teams. The left-footed striker currently plays for Sporting Supreme and has represented the country at both U-17 and U-20 levels.
From the Golden Eaglets to the Flying Eagles
Adeleke first attracted significant attention during the 2024 WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship, where he scored four goals for the Golden Eaglets.
His goals came in crucial moments, including a brace against Togo and another two goals against Ghana in the third-place playoff. He finished the tournament with four goals as Nigeria claimed the bronze medal.
Those performances marked Adeleke as a player with a natural eye for goal—and his development has continued.
Now Leading the Flying Eagles' Attack
Two years later, Adeleke has stepped up to the Flying Eagles, Nigeria's U-20 national team.
Coach Abdu Maikaba included the teenager in Nigeria's squad for the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, with Adeleke expected to play an important role in the team's attack.
And he wasted little time showing why.
In Nigeria's opening game against Ghana at the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship, Adeleke scored twice from the penalty spot as the Flying Eagles defeated their West African rivals 4–2.
His second goal came late in the game to seal a statement victory for the defending champions.
A Forward to Watch
Adeleke's profile is built around his role as a centre-forward, his left foot and his ability to contribute in front of goal. During Nigeria's preparations for the WAFU B tournament, he was also among the team's standout attacking players, scoring four goals in three friendly matches.
His performances have already attracted attention beyond Nigeria, with reports linking the youngster with a future move to Chelsea when he turns 18. While his career is still at an early stage, the attention surrounding him shows the level of expectation already building around the young striker.
The Road Ahead
At just 17, Adeleke still has plenty of development ahead of him. But his journey from the Golden Eaglets to the Flying Eagles, combined with his goalscoring record at youth international level, suggests that Nigeria may have another exciting attacking prospect on its hands.
For now, the mission is simple: keep developing, keep scoring and keep representing the green and white.
Remember the name: Abdulmuiz Adeleke.
TipNGoal will be keeping an eye on his journey.
